At Firefly Yoga, we welcome children and families of all ages and stages to join us in experiencing the many benefits of yoga and mindfulness practices. A typical yoga class for children and families includes some breath practice (which we can use to either help us calm down or provide us with energy whenever needed), movement and yoga pose games, a mindfulness practice, and of course, a relaxation time at the end. Classes run between 45 minutes to a full hour.
Parent Night Out and other longer events (such as day camps, which run up to 3 hours at a time) include not only the practices in a regular yoga class, but also some crafting time and a snack. Monthly Parent Night Out events are held once a month on Saturday evenings from 5-8. We also offer some day camps during school breaks. These are usually held in the afternoons from 1-4 pm over winter, spring, or summer break times.
Regular kids yoga classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, 4:15 pm at the Lacey studio and every Wednesday, 4:!5 at the Olympia studio. Family class sessions run for 8 weeks at a time on Sundays from 2:30-3:30 pm.
